Case Study: New Hire Training Support for Contract Creation in e-automate
RJ Young | PowerPoint Presentation Guides for Contract Creation
Overview
While working at RJ Young, I designed PowerPoint-based training guides to help new hires learn how to create different types of contracts in e-automate. The goal was to make a complex system process easier to understand by breaking it into clear, structured, repeatable steps that employees could follow during training and reference as they built confidence in the role.
The Challenge
New hires needed to learn how to create multiple types of contracts in e-automate, a process that required accuracy, system familiarity, and attention to detail. Because contract creation involved multiple steps and variations depending on contract type, the learning curve could be difficult for employees who were still getting used to the platform and its workflows.
Without clear visual guidance, new hires were more likely to rely heavily on live explanation, repeated manager support, or trial and error. This made onboarding less consistent and increased the risk of confusion during early training.
My Approach
To support the onboarding process, I created PowerPoint presentation guides that walked new hires through how to create different contract types in e-automate. I structured the guides to serve as both training materials and practical reference tools, using step-by-step instruction to make system tasks easier to follow.
The presentations were designed to simplify complex workflows, reinforce process consistency, and give new hires a more organized way to learn and apply the required steps.
Solutions Delivered
Designed PowerPoint training guides for new hires on contract creation in e-automate
Broke down contract creation workflows into step-by-step instructional content
Developed materials covering different contract types and their required processes
Created visual learning aids to support system navigation and task accuracy
Provided onboarding resources that could be used during training and referenced afterward
Helped make technical process training more structured and repeatable
Impact
These guides helped create a clearer and more consistent onboarding experience for new hires learning contract creation in e-automate. By translating system-based tasks into practical visual instructions, the materials made it easier for employees to follow required steps, understand process differences across contract types, and build confidence as they learned the role.
The project also demonstrated my ability to support operational training by combining:
systems training
onboarding support
process documentation
visual instructional design
performance support
